Blog 6 - Advisory Prep

1. What has worked well for you concerning senior project this year?  What has made it a positive experience for you?

Not many things have worked out well for me concerning my senior project this year, I had problems with finding a mentor and senior topics, but that is all worked out now. And I guess one positive experience is learning how to adapt to changes in situations, and communication skills with mentoring.
2. What are you finding difficult concerning senior project?  How can you adapt to make that portion work better for you?  How might the senior team help?

What I found difficult concerning my senior project this year is that, my first ideas for my senior project was either neurology or optometry, I was unable to get a mentor within these occupations over the summer. So, I had chosen audiology as my topic, since I had already knew somebody, a relative’s friend, in the field, had agreed to mentor me; however they discovered later they were unable to mentor me. Therefore, I had to change my topic again and switched back to optometry, where is was able to find a mentor after all. For now, I don’t think I need help, but I may need help later on with any questions I may have as the project proceeds and during the year.
